Alain Brunet
Dr. Alain Brunet, Ph.D., is a fluently bilingual (French and English) clinical psychologist who has been investigating the impact of trauma exposure on individuals for over 15 years. His primary focus is on characterizing the risk factors and developing effective treatments for PTSD, such as early intervention and reconsolidation blockade. He developed the Peritraumatic Distress Inventory or PDI – the first instrument to assess the recalled amount of distress experienced at the time of a traumatic event. The PDI is currently being utilized by more than 30 teams across the world and has been translated into eleven languages. Dr. Brunet is a registered clinical psychologist and member of the mental health leadership team. Collaboratively, the mental health leadership team provide extraordinary knowledge and experience in OSI research, assessment, and treatment, as well as internationally renowned expertise in research design and implementation.
